Lorraine Mary Ogden
The death of Lorraine Mary Ogden age 93, of Amherst, NS occurred Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Shediac, NB she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Isabelle (Thibodeau) Poirier.
Lorraine moved to Amherst from Pictou during World War II where she worked at Canada Car building airplane parts for the Anson planes. It was at Canada Car where she met her husband Charles who was an inspector in the machine shop.
She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her children.
Lorraine is survived by two daughters Sheila (Denis) Douville of Ottawa, ON and Carol Ann (Mike) Locke of Edmonton, AB, four grandchildren Jeff, Jason, Danielle and Kerry, great grandchildren Charlie, Ethan, Justin, Alex and Connor, one sister Helen (Vern) Turner of Detroit, USA and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles, sisters Louise Fougere and Catherine Poirier and brothers Leo, Bennett and Morris.
A private graveside service will be held in the Amherst Cemetery.
