It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bessie Hulan announce her peaceful passing with her loving family by her side on Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center, Stephenville Crossing at the age of 85. Bessie was born on September 4, 1927 in Heatherton, to parents John and Maude Brown. Bessie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She loved playing cards, bingo, dancing and making others smile. Bessie’s passion for people and life will be sadly missed by her family and dear friends. She is pre-deceased by her parents John & Maude Brown; brothers: George, Bill, Ted, Chester, Jack; sisters: Jane, Nora, and Susie. She is survived by her children: Olive, Vincent, Lillian, Regina, Irene, Carolyn, Ivan, Rick, Monty, Tina; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; sisters: Nina, Dora, Thirza and Bernice as well as many other family members and friends. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 5th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. from St. George’s Anglican Church, Robinson’s from where the funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the Anglican Church Cemetery, Robinson’s. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to The Alzheimer Society.
