Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Friday, August 30, 2013, Roy Martin of Grates Cove, age 85 years. Predeceased by parents: Henry and Bertha; brothers: John and Ezekiel; sisters: Rebecca and Jean. Leaving to mourn, wife Milla of 59 years; four daughters: Majors Margaret (Dean) Locke, Picton, ON, Linda (John) Smith, Yellowknife, Marlene (Glen Carey), Goulds and Tammy (Ronnie) Power, Bay Bulls; two sons: Larry (Rose Aucoin), St. John’s and Paul (Pam), Winterton; twenty-seven grandchildren and step-grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one brother: Thomas (Isabel), Grates Cove; sister-in-law: Joyce Martin, St. John’s; brother-in-law: Larry (Shirley) Lamont, Napanee, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Grace United Church, Grates Cove on Sunday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
