GALLANT, HUBERT - Hubert Gallant, 64, of Grand-Barachois, passed away on Monday, September 2nd, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born on July 4th, 1949 in Barachois, he was the son of the late Stanislas and Adeline (Landry) Gallant. He was employed with District #11 as a custodian in Cap-Pelé, Scoudouc and Shediac. Hubert was an avid sports fan and coach. He loved playing lottery 649. Hubert is survived by a daughter, Nicole Robichaud (Paul) of Aldouane, NB; two grandsons: Joël (Sandra Theriault) and Lucas; two sisters: Rose LeBlanc (Norbert) of Memramcook, Antoinette Petitpas (Vernon) of Shediac; a brother, John (Yollande) Gallant of Shediac; one mother in-law, Lucia Leger of Cormier-Village; 10 brother and sister in-laws: Ben, Eric, Roméo, Freddy, Noël, Bertha, Dorine, Thérèse, Jeanne and Lloyd, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Rita Leger (1982).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) Thursday, September 5th, 2013 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to time of departure. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 6th, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St-Henri R.C. Church, Barachois. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In his memory a donation to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Foundation (Oncology Department) would be appreciated.
