Marjorie Mathilda Cooke closed her eyes and peacefully passed away at home on August 29, 2013 at the age of 82.

She was the happiest loving her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by sons George (Donna) and Jim (Gail), daughter Deborah (Ross); nine grandchildren: Ashley, Alyssa (Dylan), Cody (Kelly), Shawn (Dan) Byron (Fletcher), Jesse, Tanya, Burqueligh (Dan) and Levi; eight great-grandchildren: Reeve, Holly, Lacy, Nolyn, Kayden, Micaula, Johnathan and Kingston.

Predeceased by her husband Alfred, son Dean and eight brothers and sisters.

Mom was born on January 28, 1931 in St. Albert, Alberta, and then moved to North Vancouver. At the young age of 17 years she met and married the love of her life, Alfred.

Mom and dad followed the construction industry until they settled in Kamloops in 1964, calling it home for the rest of their lives.

Mom liked to watch the Canucks and the Bluejays. She was always ready to tell Luongo "not to lay down, they're shooting over you".

You could always count on her goody carousel being on the kitchen table and everyone walking by would give it a spin and look for their favourite treat.

She loved a good game of crib and would always have close by, a word seek puzzle. She especially enjoyed her trips to Reno, Nevada.

She will be sadly missed and we honour her passing by living by her rules of kindness, love and strength.

All are welcome to Celebrate her Life on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street.

Mom will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery following the service.
