STEEVES, MARJORIE GERTRUDE - The passing of Marjorie Gertrude Steeves of Fredericton occurred at her home on Saturday, August 31, 2013. She was 91. Born on May 2, 1922 she is the daughter of the late Arthur Jewett and Susan Gibb. Baptist by faith and a Charter member of the Brentwood United Baptist Church in Moncton, she was also an active member of the Pythian Sisters. She is survived by two children; Brian (Michele) Steeves of Toronto, Ontario, Bev Steeves of Fredericton, two grandchildren Spencer and Clayton Steeves of Toronto, Ontario, one sister-in-law Margaret Terris of Kincardine Ontario, a special friend Doreen Cormier, of Fredericton as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Donald, two brothers Harold and Earle Jewett, four sisters Reta Graham, Dorothy McConnell, Betty Boyd and Blanche Greene.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, where visitation will take place on Monday, September 9, 2013 in the Funeral Home Chapel, from 1PM until service time at 2PM, with Rev. Laurie Fenerty officiating. Interment will be held in the Elmwood Cemetery in Moncton at a later date.
