WARREN, MABEL - 1923 - 2013 - Mabel Warren, of K. E. Spencer Memorial Home, formerly of Riverview, passed away at her residence on Friday, September 6, 2013. Born in Portugal Cove, NL, she was the daughter of the late George and Edith (Hibbs) Churchill. In her earlier years, Mabel was very active in her church, Mount Royal United. She kept herself busy with bowling, camping and needle crafts. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Trudy (Kraig) Colpitts of Moncton; Debbie (Ernie) Chase of Riverview; Wendy Hartley (Richard) of McCreary Manitoba; sister, Rita (Karl) Melendy of St. John's NL; brothers, James (Ruth) Churchill of St. John's, NL; Ross (Sonia) Churchill of Portugal Cove, NL; grandchildren, donald, Rodney, Warren, Ryan, Heather, Colton, Candace; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mabel was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, in 2002; her son, Donald; and five sibling, Reg, Cyril, Sheldon, Wes, Gertie. A sincere thank you to Debbie Lewis (late Floyd) who gave our mom such loving care over the past several years.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, (869-2007) on Sunday from 2 to 4pm. A service celebrating Mabel's life will take place from Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 1pm with Rev. Christine MacLeod officiating. The interment will follow in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations made to the memorial of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
