It is with great sadness that the family of the late Geraldine Hynes announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Thursday, September 5th 2013 at the age of 81 years. She is ­predeceased by her husband, Vincent Hynes; her son, Ricky; her brother, Michael Young; her parents, George & Ann March and grandsons: Brian Sheppard, John Taylor Hynes and son-in-law, Gerard Hull. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her 11 children: Mag Hull, Howard (Marjorie), Theresa (Kevin) Sheppard, George (Loretta), Wayne, Israel (Lisa), Rose (Gerry) Sheppard, Roger (Sue), Bruce (Della), Lisa, Lorraine (Brian) and one brother, Louis (Odell) March. Also leaving to mourn 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 3-9 p.m. from Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic church in Port au Port West. Cremation to follow with interment to take place on Wednesday, September 11th at 10:00 a.m. in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Church Restoration Fund.
