The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, September 8, 2013, of Philip Doucette of Miscouche, aged 55 years. Born in Alberton, he was the son of Theresa (Perry) Doucette and the late Henry Doucette. Survived by his wife Marlene (Gallant) Doucette; daughter Jennifer (Christopher) Vriends, Summerside; son Nick Doucette (Stacey Hutchinson-Maund), Hunter River; grandchildren Alyssa and Brody; brothers and sisters Gloria (Donald) Hackett, North Cape; Darlene Doucette (Kevin Gordon), Summerside; Robert (Nancy) Doucette, Tignish; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his special uncle Walter "Junior" Perry. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Thursday, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche. Visiting hours Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
