PÉPIN, THÉRÈSE TRUDEL - We are sorry to announce the sudden passing of our mother, Thérèse Trudel Pépin, on Wednesday, September 11th, 2013, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in
Fredericton, NB. Thérèse was born in Château Richer, Québec, on March 18th, 1927, to the late Clovis Trudel and Anna Lessard and was the youngest of 12 children. Thérèse married Jean-Paul Pépin in 1951 and made her home in Lincoln where she and her husband raised their
7 children on their family-operated farm. After retirement, they moved to York Street in Fredericton where Thérèse stayed until 2005. She then moved to Farraline Home on Queen Street where she stayed until her last day. Thérèse was very active in the church, Sainte-Anne-des-Pays-Bas, where she attended mass every day for many years and read the epistles during the 4:00 pm mass weekdays and the 10:00 am mass on Sunday. Thérèse is survived by sons Gilbert Pépin (Margaret) of Fredericton, Maurice Pépin (Janet) of Harvey and Michel Pépin (Debbie) of Hanwell; daughters Rosanne McIntyre (Tyrone) of Lincoln, Hélène Thomas (Arthur) of French Village and Pauline Newman (Keith) of Scotch Lake; a sister Jeannette Lacasse of Château Richer; a special sister-in-law Doris Dillon Pépin; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Thérèse was predeceased by her husband, Jean-Paul Pépin in 1982; her youngest son, Paul Pépin in 1999; five brothers and five sisters.
By request, there will be no visitation. All are welcome to attend a funeral liturgy on Saturday, September 14th, 2013, at 11:00 am from the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel. Interment will take place in the Hermitage Cemetery following the service. Donations in Thérèse's memory may be made to the Fredericton Food Bank. www.mcadamsfh.com
