At the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Thursday, September 12, 2013, with his family by his side, of Lloyd Joseph Pitre, of Tignish, P.E.I., age 77 years. Born on February 28, 1936, he was the son of the late Jerry and Mary (nee Poirier) Pitre. He is survived by his sons,Donnie of Calgary Alberta; Floyd of Listowel Ont. Grandfather to Courtney also of Listowel Ont. Dear brother to Bertha (Dennis) Pitre of St. Felix; Emily (Vernon) Chowen of Charlottetown; Oswald Pitre of Bloomfield; Theresa (Maurice) Martin of Charlottetown; Emile (Helene) of Tignish Shore; Angela DesRoches of St. Felix; Joe Pitre of Charlottetown; Shirley (Seymore) DesRoches of St. Felix; Francis (Nicole) Pitre of Tignish; and Barbara (Dale) Gaudette of St. Felix. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Doreen Peters of Charlottetown and special friend to Noreen Doucette of Tignish. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Cecil.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday, September 13th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and on Satrurday from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral. Funeral on Saturday afternoon, September 14, 2013, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, celebrant. Interment in the Church Cemetery. If so desired, memorials to St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery Fund or to the Tignish Seniors Coop Home would be gratefully appreciated.
