The family of Ralph MacQuarrie of Summerside are saddened to announce his passing on Friday, September 13, 2013, at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, aged 100 years. Born in Baltic, he was the son of the late Gordon and Ellen (Duggan) MacQuarrie. Veteran of World War II, and a long time employee of Smallman’s Ltd., Ralph is survived by his son, Donald “Don” (Ardyth) Calgary, AB; niece Natalie (Gerry) Mawhinney, New London; nephews James B (Pauline) Johnston, Stratford; and Jerry (Carol) Johnston, Canoe Cove. Predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Rose (Gauthier) MacQuarrie; sisters Lena McEwan and Marion Johnston; and by his nephew Nelson Johnston. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. No visiting hours by personal request.
