JEWETT, ALICE FLORENCE - A. Florence Jewett of Lower Hainesville, NB passed away September 18, 2013 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in 1922 at Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Lillian (Elliott) Taylor. Florence loved to cook, clean, knit and socialize with her family and friends. She enjoyed outdoor work and her beloved puppy Maggie. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She is survived by one son, Wayne Jewett (Phyllis), Lower Hainesville, NB; two grandsons, Edwin Jewett (Cathy), Douglas, NB and Stuart Jewett (Krista), Stettler, AB; two granddaughters, Diane Sawyer (Frank), and Barbara Hawkins (Tony), both of Durham, ME; eight great grandchildren, Jack, Emily, Edwin, Phillip, Chris, Josh, Adrien and Ashley; five great great grandchildren; one sister, Edna Louise Fodor, Vero Beach, Florida; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Burpee (Raymond), Benedicta, ME; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a her husband, Elmer Jewett in 1996; a son, Edward Jewett in 1967; a brother, Al and a sister Leitha.
In keeping with Florence’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Private interment at Lower Hainesville Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Florence, the family has suggested the Lower Hainesville Cemetery or Lower Hainesvile Wesleyan Church.
