DEKKER, MARY JANE “M.J.” (CARSON) (1965 - 2013) - Mary Jane (M.J.) Dekker, of Riverview, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Woodstock, NB., she was the daughter of Marilyn Dryden of McKees Mills, NB., and John (Donna) Carson of Debec, NB. In 1997, she founded Fingers, Faces & Feet - a well known spa among women in and around the area. M.J. was known as the "life of the party" wherever she went. Making people smile and laugh came easy to her. She loved to spend time with her family, camping at Cambridge Narrows, and could always squeeze in an exciting girls weekend out. Above all, M.J. was a dedicated mother to her two children, daughter Erin and son Jackson, both of Riverview. They will forever remember their mother's unconditional love and support throughout all of life's challenges. They were not only family, but also the best of friends. She will also be deeply missed by her mother Marilyn Dryden, her father John Carson and stepmother Donna. Alongside her children and parents, she will be remembered by her brother, Trevor (Heather) Carson of Moncton; niece, Amanda and nephew, Bradley of Moncton; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and the children's dad Bob (Barb) Dekker. M.J. was predeceased by her stepfather, Donald Dryden and her grandparents on both sides of the family.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007) on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A service celebrating M.J.'s life will take place from Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 1pm with Rev. Greg Geldart officiating.
