Ralphe Swadling went to be with his Lord on September 19, 2013, at age 94 years at Pine Grove Care Centre.

He is survived by his daughters Beryl (Bob) Cassidy of Kamloops, B.C., Nora Patterson of Clearwater, B.C., daughter-in-law Lily Swadling of Medicine Hat, AB; six grandchildren Bob Jr. Cassidy, Michelle (Larry) Macko, Darin Patterson, Devin (Julie) Patterson, Cliff (Andrea) Swadling and Shana (Steve) Comstock; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife Freeda of 66 years in 2009, his parents William and Gertrude Swadling, sister Hazel Swadling, son Earl Swadling in 2002 and son-in-law Jack Patterson in 2004.

He was born in Kamloops, B.C. at 738 Dominion Street. As a young man he moved to Vancouver, B.C. and began working for the CP Railway. He met and married his wife Freeda Ziegenhagel in 1943. Together they moved back to Kamloops where he began a new job for CN Railway, and raised their three children.

He was a committed Christian and active member of First Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held in Raphe's memory at First Baptist Church, 454 Columbia Street, Kamloops, B.C. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International would be appreciated in memory of Ralphe.
