FOSTER, ELIZABETH "BETTY" - It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Betty Foster, formerly of Maugerville, NB at the Shannex, Thomas Hall, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, September 24th, 2013. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Jean (Donaldson) Campbell and wife of the late Fred Foster. She is survived by her son, Fred Foster Jr. (Linda) of Fredericton; daughters, Crystal Foster of Oromocto, Karen Warren (Keith) of Burton, Stacey Foster of Douglas Harbour; son-in-law, Lloyd Spencer of Burton; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret (Peggy) MacKenzie of Maugerville and Helen Loney (Harold) of Coldbrook, NS; one brother, George Campbell of Fredericton and several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her parents; husband, Fred; daughter, Linda Spencer; siblings, James Campbell, Isabel Lyons, Mary Hayward, Robert Campbell, Janet Thibodeau, Jack Campbell, and Jean Wilbur.
There will be no visitation as per Betty’s request. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 27th, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Stephen Budd will officiate. Interment will take place in the Upper Maugerville Cemetery after reception. Memorial tributes in Betty’s honour may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
