It is with great sadness that the family of the late VERA MURPHY of Burin, NL, announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Thursday, September 19, at the age of 66. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Daughter – Elizabeth (Rick Kavanagh) of Little Bay; 2 Beautiful Grandchildren – Richard & Amanda Kavanagh; Sisters – Stella Kennedy (Freeman Clarke) of Burin; Phyllis (Don) Brown of Mortier & Kay Brown of CBS; Brother – Nick Kennedy (Mabel Simmons) of Mortier; Special nephew – Dale Murphy & family; Forever Friend – Sadie Kelly; Brother-in-law – Peter Murphy (Sarah) of Little Bay; Sister-in-law Patricia Dimmer (Bern Pike) of Burin Bay Arm; Remembered as well by Nieces, Nephews and many lifelong and faithful friends. Vera was predeceased by her Husband – Leo Murphy; Sister-in-law – Melita Kennedy and Parents – Samuel & Elizabeth Kennedy.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Burin, on Saturday, September 21, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Fox Cove. In Vera’s memory donations may be made to the SPCA in Burin. No flowers by request of the family.
