The death occurred surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, September 29, 2013 of Richard Gingras of Blue Shank Road and formerly of Alberta, aged 71 years. Richard was born on May 4, 1942, in LaTuque, Que., to his late parents Arthur and Fedelia (nee Bouchard) Gingras. Beloved husband of Cheryl (nee McKenna) Gingras and loving father of Richard Jr. (Sherri) of Edmonton, AB. Kristina Gingras of Blue Shank Road and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Also lovingly remembered by his two grandchildren Drew and Ryan Gingras and several nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers Mario and Georges of Montreal, Que., sister Danielle Gingras (Yves LaCroix) and family of Trois Riviere, Que., and fur babies Rascal, Molly, Jack and Trixie. Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by his brother Jacques and special friend Bayleigh. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Memorial donations in Richard’s memory to the P.E.I. Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
