1938-2008 Passed away on September 12, 2008, at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Born in O’Leary, P.E.I., on March 26, 1938. Predeceased by his parents, Bayfield and Gladys Ellis; sisters, Marion McMurdo, Marge Dickson, Shirley Ellis (in infancy). Survived by sisters, Margaret, Saint John, N.B.; Muriel, Lindsay, Ont.; Heath (Ruby), Weslyville, Nfld. Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Clarice (nee Compton) Ellis and three children, Catherine (Robby) Bell, Elaine Mayo (Jeff), Robert Ellis (Terri). Loving grandchildren, Chad (Loni), Jillian, Natalie and Andrew Bell, B.J. (Bruce), Emma and Sammy Mayo, Amanda and Sara Ellis and Logan Hebein. Poppy’s great-grandchildren, Cameron and Kaylie Bell and his dog ‘Fido’. He will be lovingly missed by family and friends from East to West and his mother-in-law, Verlie Compton, Stratford, P.E.I. Always remembered by his snap plaid shirts, he was a man of high work ethic and instilled them in his family. He was always doing for others all his life. To meet him was to know him.
