MACAULAY, JEAN- With sadness the family announces the passing of Jean Lillian Macaulay, wife of the late Robert Macaulay, occurred on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1930 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret (Mabee) Macaulay. Jean was employed as an accountant for Royal Insurance for many years, retiring in 1985. She was an active member of St. James Church Lakewood and a member of the Orange Lodge and Seniors Federation. She is survived by her daughter Carol (Tom Oram) Macaulay of Saint John; son Wayne (Bonnie) of River Glade, NB; grandchildren Stephanie (Andrew), Steven, Jessica (Robbie), and Krista (Ian); great-grandchildren Danielle, Rylee, Kayden, Leland, Zachery, Abbie, Kristen, Alli and Kassie; brother Harold (Catherine) Keeling; sisters Fern Galbraith-Dawson, Shirley (David) Daigle and Joan Webster; sisters-in-law Connie O’Leary, Barbara Arsenault, Nancy Galbraith, Sandra Cervo, Alta Keeling, Evelyn Keeling, Nicole Macaulay, Audrey Macaulay, Anne Macaulay and Lucy Macaulay; brother-in-law David Macaulay. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Kenneth and Douglas Keeling; brothers-in-law William, Malcolm, Wayne, Norman (Papa), Harry Jr., Norman (Papa) and Donald Macaulay, Harry Dawson and Bob Galbraith; sisters-in-law Doreen Davis, Betty Ward and Norma Faucett; grandson Sean Macaulay and son-in-law Mike Cochrane.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A memorial service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2 p.m. The family will receive visitors from 12 noon until 1:45 p.m. The family would appreciate donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
