NILES, RÉJEANNE "JEAN" - It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Réjeanne "Jean" Niles, age 76, of Johnston Point. Réjeanne passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Born in Shemogue, NB, she was a daughter of the late François and Léa (Richard) Melanson. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A selfless lady, she gave of herself endlessly, helping her family and community. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved tending to her flower garden and watching the birds from the sunroom. She will be dearly missed by her husband Edward, Johnston Point; children, Raymond, Drayton Valley, AB, Phyllis (Donald) Brandham, Edmonton, AB, Lewis (Odette), Memramcook, NB, Harvey (Sandra), Johnston Point, NB, Rita Niles, Cantley, QC, Eddie (Louise), Beaumont, AB; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; five sisters Clara Jacob, Élise Jacob, Enna Jacob, Romaine Ouellette, and Juliette Richard; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Roméo, Hervé and Rhéal; two sisters Marguerite and Blanche.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home. Visiting hours will take place at the Jones Family Centre, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin (538-2241) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Timothy's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 10:30 am, Rev. Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
