SAVAGE, MRS. MARIE LUCY - 1919 - 2013 - The death of Marie Lucy Savage occurred on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Veteran's Wing, Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, surrounded by her loving children
She lived at 67 Cunard Street from 1947 until incapacitated by a stroke in July of 2012. Marie was the wife of the late Norman Edward Savage, M.M. The daughter of the late J. Ken and Lucy (Hackett) Breau. She was a R.N. of St. Mary's Hospital in Montreal (1938 to 1941). She was a veteran of the Second World War, having served as Lieutenant Nursing Sister Marie Breau, from 1944 to 1946, one year in Canada, and one year in England. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family, she is survived by six children; Louann (Lucy Anne) Savage, Timothy William (Carol ) Savage, Bonita Helen (Richard Greene) Savage, Kenneth Joseph Savage, Norman Patrick (Nicole) Savage and William Edward (Billy) Savage, Miramichi Senior Citizens Home. Also by ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
At Marie's request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11am from the Bishop Rogers Chapel at St Michael's Basilica with Fr John Fraser officiating. Interment will be in St Michael's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home or the memorial of ones choice would be appreciated.
