It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond Oliver Janes announce his passing on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 83rd year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife May, his children: Henry Janes (Loree Lalonde), Lillian Anderson (Harold Sturge), Angela (Richard) Taylor, Melissa Janes (Dave Crawford) Linda (Tony) McKay, Phillip (Paula) Janes, and Jeremy Janes (Perry Ragoobar) step -children: Ralph (Edna) Parrill, Lawrence (Joanne) Simms, Perry (Jacqueline) Simms and Ernest (Patricia) Simms, 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, his daughter-in-law Wanda Janes, siblings: Aubrey (Bonnie), Lloyd, Joan (Clayton) Pilgram, sisters-in-law: Bertha and Margaret. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Gertrude, son William, step-son Allister, parents Edwin & Maud, siblings Ford, Doyle, Baxter, Everett, Chesley, Douglas, Ethel Easton, and Hilda Bingle, step-daughter-in-law Edna. Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 Northmain Street, Deer Lake on Saturday, October 5th, 2013 from 7-9pm. Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Monday at 2:00pm. from the Salvation Church in Deer Lake with Majors Wayne and Betty Ann Pike officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot on Wights Road.
