Eudora Jean Young, 90 years, of Springhill, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2013 surrounded by her family in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Juanita (Simpson) Legrow.
Eudora moved with her family to Gardner, Mass at age 1 remaining there until the age of 14 when she returned to Springhill where she spent the rest of her life. During her life she enjoyed square dancing, curling, playing 45's, cooking, making biscuits, traveling, camping, bowling, knitting lap blankets for residents of Springhill High Crest Nursing Home, playing solitaire and always enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 71 years Arnold L. Young; son, Robert (Marie) Young; daughters, Patricia (Frank) Gillis and Beth (David) Rushton, all of Springhill; foster daughter, Joan (Terry) Hall, Sussex; Grandchildren, Jody (Yolanda Jardine) Gillis, Christopher (Kim Nash) Gillis, Jennifer (Kenny) Casey, Stephanie (Nicholas White) Rushton, Krista, Terry and Michael Hall; great grandson Keith Casey; brother, Arnold Legrow; brother in law, Wilmot Young; special friends David and Laura Lloy.
She was pre-deceased by brother in law, Clyde Young; sisters-in-law, Doris Legrow and Alma Young.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) from where a visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, October 6, 2013 from the Funeral Home with The Reverend Wayne McCarther officiating.
