It is with broken hearts the family of Margaret Mary Flynn of West Bay announces her passing on October 3, 2013 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s with her family at her side. She leaves to mourn her husband of 59 years Jervis Flynn, nine children: Debbie (Brian) Hackett, Moncton, NB; Barry (Sandra) Flynn, Kippens; Tony (Janet) Flynn, Labrador City; Vickie (Gary) Tourout, Manitouwadge, On; Gord (Audrey) Flynn, Fort McMurray, AB; Randy (Bonnie) Flynn, West Bay; Karen (Malcolm) Oxford, Stephenville Crossing; Paula (Perry) Bungay, Stephenville; Jeffrey (Sandi) Flynn, Beamsville, ON; proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren: Darren Flynn, Shane Flynn, Mark Oxford, Axton Tourout, Matthew Flynn, Pamela Flynn, Allison Bungay, Sheldon Tourout, Ashley Flynn, Kyle Hackett, Blaze Flynn, Sarah Bungay, Brandon Flynn, Lucas Flynn, and Brandi Flynn; 8 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren, as well as brothers: Louis Meaney, Lourdes, Pat Meany, Gander, sisters: Ellen Drake, Lourdes, Viola Flynn, Stephenville, Mona Snook, West Bay, Bernice Flynn, Devon, AB, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by parents Patrick and Monica Meaney, brothers: Lawrence Meaney and James Hackett as well sisters: Theresa Nazworth and Theresa Mary Meaney. Visitation will take place from Our Lady of Lourdes Parish on Saturday, October 5th and Sunday, October 6th from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will take place on Monday, October 7th at 2pm from Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church with interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in West Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.
