It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maria Butt (nee Rowe) announces her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the age of 93 years. She will be sadly missed by her husband of over 70 years Ronald Butt of Heatherton, NL, her daughter Sharon (Ian) Bell of Pasadena, NL and granddaughter Catherine Bell of Halifax, NS. She is survived by her sisters: Bessie Bennett of St. John’s, NL, Stella Rowe of Chatham, ON, Jessie (Arthur) Lachovitch of Sarnia, ON, and her brother Hubert (Margaret) Rowe of Heatherton, NL and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Jane Rowe of Green’s Harbour, NL and sister Cassie Wiggins of Sarnia, ON. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of the Corner Brook Long Care Centre, 3 South for their care and support. Friends may call at the United Church in Heatherton on Monday, October 7th from 12:30 to 1:30 a.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, October 7th at 2:00 p.m. at the United Church in Heatherton with Reverand Kathryn Vance Officiating.
