Passed peacefully away on Sunday, October 6th, 2013 at the Health Sciences Centre after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, in the presence of his loving children, brothers, sisters, grandchildren and friends. Left to mourn with wonderful memories his son, Fred Baker Jr.; daughters: Janice, Teri and Cathy; grandchildren: Amber, Megan, Breanna and Abigail; twin brothers: Derrick and Darrell; sisters: Valerie (Watson) Fifield and Debbie (Angus) Osmond; many nieces and nephews. Fred was a great father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. Fred was an avid sportsman, who loved hunting, the outdoors and riding his ATV. Fred spent his teenage years in 514 Air Cadets, where he received his wings. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. Visitation on Monday from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 9th, 2013 at 2 p.m. from St. Thomas’ Anglican Church. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
