LEE, MARY - The death of Mary Gene “Ricky” Lee, wife of the late Dr. Richard William “Bill” Lee occurred peacefully on Monday, October 07, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Mary was born on March 1, 1929 on Deer Island, NB and was the daughter of the late Hazen G. and Margaret (Forsyth) Richardson. Mary had been proud to work as a nurse in Blacks Harbour upon graduating from the Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing. She was also a member of the Canada Games Aquatic Centre. Mary was a kind and gentle woman who will be missed by all who knew her. Mary is survived by her nine children Michael (Karen), Grand Bay Westfield, Patrick (Cathy) New Glasgow, NS; Susan (Fred), Saint John; Dr. Richard (Marie), Fredericton; James (Cheryl), Brighton ON; Anna (Rod), Grand Bay Westfield; Gregory (Angela), Grand Bay Westfield; Mary (Mark), Grand Bay Westfield; Brian (Katrina) of Gondola Point. Mary is also survived by her brothers, Elmer Richardson and Vance Richardson. sister, Grace Gendron; 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Besides her loving husband and parents, Mary was also predeceased by her infant great grandchildren, Lee Bailey and Zachary Firszt; brothers, Maxwell Richardson and Edwin Richardson; sister, Ruth Hume.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424, with visiting on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 7 to 9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 12:00 noon from Our Lady of Assumption Church, 360 Dufferin Row, Saint John. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Our Lady of Assumption Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
