Jennie Irene LeFeuvre
LeFEUVRE, JENNIE IRENE - Jennie Irene LeFeuvre, of Roberston Point, Jemseg, N.B. was born January 28, 1941 at Burin, NL. She passed away on Wednesday, October 9th, 2013 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Irene leaves to mourn her husband of 49 years, George LeFeuvre; her brother, Jack (Pat); her sisters Frances (Bob) and Doretta (Ernest). She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Jennie Hollett, and her brother Morgan Hollett. She will be sadly missed by a long line of family members, especially many nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Irene’s motto was live, love, laugh. She was a dedicated teacher, having taught for 29 years in Labrador City. In retirement she continued teaching, and pursued writing, which led to publishing articles about wildlife and winter sports. Her great community spirit began in Labrador City, where she and George were instrumental in advancing cross-country skiing. In her adopted province of New Brunswick, she played a major role in the establishment of the Cambridge Narrows Library, as well as serving with Laubach Literacy for several years. An avid skier, Irene spent many happy hours on the trails with her good friends, the Klister Sisters. Her summers were filled with loons, kayaking and golfing. Visitation will be at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Friday, October 11th, 2013, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A service to celebrate Irene’s life will be held at The Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, October 12th, 2013 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Cambridge Narrows Regional Library or to a charity of the donor’s choice, would be appreciatd by the family.
