Campbell, Mary Carol 77, Truro, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013, in the Maritime Odd Fellows Home, Pictou, surrounded by her family. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late John and Josephine (MacDonald) MacDonald. Carol worked for many years in the Dental profession. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 26 Truro, Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Gyro Club of Truro. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to many.
She is survived by her husband of 54-years Leonard G. Campbell; daughter Donna Hughes (Richard) of Burks Falls, ON; grandchildren Lindsay (Joe) and Courtney; great-grandson Jacob; sisters Estelle Morrison of Glace Bay, Kay Riley (Carvel) of Pictou; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where visitation will take place on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm and where funeral service will take place on Thursday, Oct. 17th at 2 pm with Father Francesco Pirisi officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Maritime Odd Fellows Home, Pictou.
