Gilchrist, Margaret Ann 59, Debert, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 in the QE II Health Science Centre, Halifax Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Loretta Mae (Cameron) Sullivan of Debert and the late Ottis Garfield Sullivan.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years Wayne Kenneth Gilchrist; daughter Jennifer Williams (Brandon) of Truro; son Jeffrey (Robyn) of Prince George, BC; grandchildren Brandon, Dante, Declan; brother Michael of River John, NS; nieces and nephews; father-in-law Murray Gilchrist of Debert; sister-in-law Edwina Schwantz (Willard) of Petawawa, ON.
Besides her father, Margaret was predeceased by her mother-in-law Louise Gilchrist; brother-in-law Ronald Gilchrist.
No visitation, funeral service or flowers by family request. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. A celebration of Margaret’s life will take place on Friday, October 18th after 2 pm at the home of her daughter Jennifer and husband Brandon Williams, 8 Montery Drive, Truro. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
