Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Union Hospital in Moose Jaw. Viola, at the age of 96 was predeceased by her beloved husband Axel (1978). Viola was born on August 1, 1917 to Albert and Enis Dorcas in Willmar Saskatchewan. She attended school in Arcola until going to work on a farm. Following a move to Moose Jaw, she worked at the lunch counter at the T. Eaton Co., in Moose Jaw where she met Axel and was married in 1973. She retired after 23 years of faithful service in 1983. In her retirement years, she enjoyed many crafts including paper tole, ceramics and crocheting. As a lifetime member of the Senior’s Card Club at Timothy Eatons center, she enjoyed playing Whist and Cribbage. She was also a lifetime member of the Rebekah Lodge. Viola loved children and over the years she always had favorites, many special favorites who received the benefit of her love. As the last of her family, she is predeceased by her parents, her 5 sisters and by her brother. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends and by her adopted grandchildren Jamaal, Chantelle, Chelsea and Chevonne. A Funeral Service will be held at Parkview Funeral Chapel on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Marvin Seaborg officiating. An interment service will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Cemetery, Parkbeg, SK. Memorial donations may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, P.O.
