It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Sheppard “Dick Penney” announce his passing surrounded by his family at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s on Friday October 18, 2013 at the age of 65 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his companion Shirley Cooney, daughter Rhonda (Darren) Short, son Ronald Penney, grandchildren: Travis, Keisha, Mariah, Dustin, great-grandchildren: Dominic and Myah; sisters: Sharon (Thomas) Penney, Janet (Thomas) Pealo, brother George (Geraldine) Penney, special niece Shara (Cory Payne), also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Alfreda Penney. At the family’s request cremation has taken place and private family services will take place at a later date.
