Donald Campbell
CAMPBELL, DONALD ALAN - Mr. Donald Alan Campbell passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 18, 2013. He was born in Saint John, July 31, 1940, a son of the late Allan and Renee Campbell. Donald graduated from Horton Academy in 1959; from there he attended Acadia University and later attended Ricker College in Houlton Maine. He moved to Boston, and began working for the New Hampshire Insurance Company. Donald returned to Saint John in 1973, and was a Director of Provincial Insurance Agency until the company sold in 1987. He owned and operated Trimline - Signline for several years until he retired in 1997. Donald was a former long-time member of the Westfield Golf and Country Club. He served on the vestry at the Church of the Good Shepherd and was also a former member of the Carleton Union F&AM #8 Masonic Lodge. Donald is survived by his wife Judy A. Campbell; three sons Robert B. Campbell of Saint John, Daniel Allan (Maritess) Campbell of Edmonton, Brian W. (Michelle) Campbell (Greene) of Edmonton; his daughter Melissa R. (Wilber) Campbell-Vallejo of Edmonton; two brothers Ian Campbell of Regina and Douglas (Jane) Campbell of Rothesay; as well as eight grandchildren Asher and Madeline Campbell; Isabel, Alexa and Ethan Campbell-Vallejo; Nolan, Graeme and Norah Campbell.
Visitation will be held at Castle Funeral Home on October 22, 2013, at 1 to 4pm. To honor Donald’s wishes there will be no funeral service, cremation will take place and a private family burial will occur at a later date. Donations to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Church of the Good Shepherd or to the charity of donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
