With sad hearts we announce the passing of Allie Jean McLennan at Victoria County Memorial Hospital, after her long battle with cancer.
Beloved daughter of Ellen (MacKenzie) and Greg McLennan, sister of Robin and Chris.
She passed as gracefully as she lived. In her short life, Allie touched many, with her ever present smile, her wit, her sense of fun and her indomitable courage. She thought always of others before herself. She loved her family and friends, basketball, nail painting, and taking pictures. She was an old soul in a young body.
She was predeceased by her grandfather, Gordon MacLennan and grandparents, Christopher and Anna MacKenzie.
She is survived by her parents and siblings; grandmother, Edna MacLennan; uncle Innis (Monica) MacLennan; cousins Amy (Adam), Luke and Nicole (Fabian); uncle Colin MacKenzie; and her many friends both young and old.
There will be a visitation at MacAskill Funeral Home, Baddeck, N.S. from 2-9 p.m. today (Monday, Oct. 21). The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Knox Presbyterian Church, Baddeck, N.S., with Rev. Brian MacLeod officiating with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Baddeck Forks.
Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the IWK, Camp Good Time (Brigadoon) or Children’s Wish.
