Passed peacefully away, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, on Saturday, October 12, 2013, CHARLES WALSH, at 98 years of age. Mr. Walsh was a former resident of Marystown and was residing at Mount Margaret Manor in St. Lawrence. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Sister – Evelyn Reid; A special lady who brought a great deal of joy to his life - Mary Williams-Fewer (George) and her children – Catherine, Christopher, Kode & Taylor; Joe Keating – His truly dedicated and loyal friend; Sisters-in-law – Carrie Walsh & Sue Walsh; plus many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Charles was predeceased by: Parents – John & Margaret Walsh; Brothers – Thomas (Ida), Andrew, Dan (Sadie), Dominic, Douglas (Maude), Howard, Joseph (Mary) and Fred; Sisters – Lucy Roussell (Bill), Rita Flynn (Fergus) and Bride Brenton (Tot); Brother-in-law – Emile Reid.

Resting and visitation took place from Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown, on Monday, October 14, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Tuesday, October 15, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery. In Charles’ memory donations may be made to the Jump Start Program or flowers gratefully accepted.
