Donald John MacDonald of Baddeck, N.S. passed away Oct. 17, 2013, at the Victoria County Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of the late Alexander and Margaret (MacDonald) MacDonald.
Donnie left Baddeck in 1961 with his family and moved to Ontario where he worked at Christie Cookie plant from 1962 until he retired in 1996. He returned to Baddeck with his wife Connie in 1996 to enjoy retirement.
He is survived by daughters, Donna MacDonald, Ontario, Geri MacDonald, Florida. Grandchildren, Ulanta Clark, Amanda Clark, Louis Zita and Josy Zita.
Besides his parents Donnie was predeceased by his wife Connie, sisters, Betty and Jean. Brothers, Richard and Murdock.
The funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 25 at Greenwood Church, Baddeck, N.S. at 2 p.m. with Rev. Hazel J. Morris officiating. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery Big Baddeck, N.S.
