PICTOU – Sarah Jane Laybolt, 78, of Twining Street, Pictou, passed away October 21, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Dingwell Mills, Prince Edward Island, she was a daughter of the late Alan and Effie (Lutz) Blaisdell.
Sarah loved bingo and bowling.
She is survived by her common-law husband, Earl MacDonald; children: Mary Laybolt, Arisaig; Leonard Laybolt, PEI; Barb Laybolt, Pictou; Robin Laybolt, Ontario; grandchildren, Alan, Lenny (Amanda), Michael, Crystal, Sarah Ann and Samantha; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Alan, Bayview; sister, Rose Strickland, PEI.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. No funeral by request. Burial will be at a later date on Prince Edward Island.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
