MOFFITT, ALVIN ANDREW “BANTY” - The passing of Banty Moffitt of Harvey, York Co., NB took place at his home on October 23, 2013. He was born on March 20, 1933 at Harvey, NB, the son of the late John and Ella (Manzer) Moffitt. Banty lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his cottage, family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his wife Jean (Little) Moffitt; two sons, Andy Moffitt (Janice) and Richard Moffitt (Deanna); son-in-law, Wayne McFadgen (Teresa); seven grandchildren, Mark Moffitt (Holly), Josh McFadgen (Amy), Kristy Moffitt, Mitch McFadgen (Jen), Olivia Cole (Jesse), Benjamin Moffitt, Christopher Moffitt; great grandchildren, Emma McFadgen and Keira Moffitt; siblings, Harriet Garrett, Stanley Moffitt (Margaret), Edith Lowery (Rev. Basil) and Earl Moffitt; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Banty was predeceased by two children, Pamela McFadgen and Allan Moffitt; siblings, Isabelle, Ray, Vesta, Robert and James.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. from Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey, NB with Rev. Basil Lowery and Rev. George Clark officiating. Interment at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
