Peacefully surrounded by her family in Barrie on Monday October 21st , 2013 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of James. Dear mother of Christopher (Glenda) Smith, James Edward (Cynthia) Palmer, Sandra (Amandio) Rodrigues, and Angela (the late Gerry) Hadley. Survived by her brothers and sisters Peter Smith, Gordon Smith, Garnet Smith, Edgar Smith, Elaine Smith, Carolyn Ranetkins and the late Jimmy Johnson. Proud Nana of Taylor, Connor, James, Kevin, Robert, Anita, Maegan, Zachary, and Genessa. Great Nana to Priya. Also sadly missed by many other family members and dear friends. A celebration of Mable's life will take place at the Steckley Gooderham Funeral Homes 201 Minet's Point Rd., Barrie on Thursday October 24th , 2013 at 11 am. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service starting at 10 am. Cremation. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Diabetes Association and are greatly appreciated. The family would like to take this opportunity to give a heart felt thank you to the entire staff at Victoria Village 6th floor, the Royal Victoria Hospital Dialysis Clinic, and the Medical Out patient Clinic at R.V.
