GRIFFIN, LORNA - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Lorna M. Griffin, loving wife of the late James “Jim” Griffin, which occurred on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born 1943 in Plumsweep, NB she was the daughter of the late H. Leslie and Gertrude (Mackenzie) Cunningham. Lorna was employed several years as a secretary for various schools in the Kennebecasis Valley. She is survived by her son Stephen (Mara) of Quispamsis; brother Donald (Gertrude) of Enfield, CT, USA; grandchildren Connor, Isaac and Brianna; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother Melvin Cunningham and sisters Myrna Cunningham and Joan Harrop.
Following cremation, visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424) on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 14 Almon Lane, Rothesay, on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery.
