It is with great sadness that the family of the late Olga May Reid announce that after a courageous battle Olga succumbed to cancer at the Bonne Bay Hospital surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 27th, 2013 at the age of 74 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 51 years Melvin Reid, children: Sheila (Jim), Frances (Tim), Juanita (Dave), Sandra (Gerald), Robert (Natasha), Melvin (Lorrie), Boyd (Marsha), Doris (Steve) and Catherine (Steve). 24 grandchildren: Jim (Erin), Brad ( Renee), Heather (Devin), Layna, Tyler (Jenna), Emma, Travis, Karen, (Byron), Jonathon, Kayla, Rachele, Timmi (Adam), Tony, Amanda (John), Donald (Jessica), Christopher, Stephen, Alyssa, Samantha, Morgan, Zachary, Meaghan, Ezri and Thomas. Her 8 great-grandchildren: Kyle, Jordan, Katie, Hunter, Nolan, Caleb, Carter and Alexis; brothers: Donald (Sylvia), Lloyd (Louise), Raymond, Gerald (Joyce), Eric (Dulcie); sisters: Stella, Margaret (Gordon), Jessie, Hannah (Walter); brother-in-law Clarence (Louise) and sisters-in-law: Bertha Janes, May Janes, Mabel Moores and Joan (Fred) Campbell. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Catherine and Robert, daughter Ramona and brother Cornelius, mother and father-in-law Roy and Martha Reid and brother-in-law Tim Reid. The family will be receiving friends & family from St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the family plot.
