TRENTON – Joyce Evelyn Larisey, age 75, of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, and formerly of Trenton, passed away Monday, October 28 in the manor.
Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Annie (Schrader) Aikens.
She was a retired hairdresser. She was a member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served as treasurer and Sabbath school teacher. She also enjoyed camping and travelling. She was a member of the Dorcas Society.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill’; a son, Christopher, at home; and a brother Ross (Mary) Aikens, Trenton; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers: Harold, Ossie and Donald Aikens.
There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday from the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Ellis Street, New Glasgow, with Pastor David Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to Seventh Day Adventist Church, Alzheimer’s Society or Glen Haven Manor Social Committee.
