Roberta Pauley
The death of Roberta Arella Pauley, 86, of Fredericton and formerly of Port Elgin, NB, occurred at the Dr. Edward Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton on October 28, 2013. Born in Cape Spear, Roberta was a daughter of the late Marple and Viola (Ogden) Dobson.
Roberta was a Vice President and President of the Women’s Missionary Society, Port Elgin. Roberta will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Norma (Philip) King, Penniac, NB, Gail Walton, Calgary, and Dianne (Rod) Vernon, Calgary; two sons, Robin (Gail) Pauley, Sudbury, ON and Mark Pauley of Sudbury; six grandchildren, Nicole, Matheau, Dale, Christine, Michael and Evan; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Oulton.
Besides her parents, Roberta was predeceased by her husband Alton in 2006; five sisters, Evelyn, Mattie, Nettie, Velma and Corine; and four brothers, Norman, Alonzo, Stanley and Rupert.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home (506-364-1300). At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 1, 2013 at 1 pm from the St. James Presbyterian Church, West Main Street, Port Elgin, NB. Following the service, Roberta will be laid to rest alongside Alton in the Fernwood Cemetery.
