Passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, October 29th 2013 from the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Charles Laite at the age of 84. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 65 years Effie Laite, children: Linfield (Evelyn) Laite; Deer Lake, Judy (Bruce) Lambert; Petley, Random Island, Harold (Fern) Laite; Deer Lake, grandchildren: Dale (Dee) Laite, Wanda (Roy) Chappell, Sherry Lambert (Carey McGrath), Cory Lambert, Stacey Lambert (Theresa), Jennifer (Frazer) Cross, Chris (Rhodina) Laite, Michelle (Kirk) Goobie, Kenneth (Amanda) Laite, Amanda (Andrew) Rogers, great grandchildren: Ryan, Carradine, Jonathan, Rebecca, Emily, Liam, Hunter, Darrien, Amber, Claire, Justice, Chase, Ella, Kendra, Olivia, sister Annie Walters, brother Max Laite and special friends Ben and Anne Bowering, Sandy Baillie and Bud Squires, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Sarah, brothers Walter, Fred and Ross. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday, November 1st from 2-4 and 7-9PM, the funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 2PM from St Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church in Deer Lake with Bishop Donald Young officiating, interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery Wight’s Road.
