Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 19th, 2013, in her 94th year, Gillian Guy. The Great Gardener of the Northeast Coast was predeceased by her husband and gardening partner, Raymond W. Guy in 2000. Left to celebrate her beautiful life are her five children; Jane (C.J. Francis, deceased 2000), John (Jennifer Davis), Roger (Sheilagh Hanrahan), Daphne (Gerald Mercer), Nikki (Michael Bowdery); thirteen grandchildren: David (Chrys), Alice (John), Adam (Beth, Gillian (Lee), Stephen (Melanie), Anna (Sean), Thomas (Trish), Rebecca (Michael), Emilie, Andrew, Caroline, Katie, and Simeon; ten great grandchildren: Olivia, Dylan, Emma Jane, Eleanor, Owen, Finlay, Lily, Mairead, Benjamin, and Elise. Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 1 pm - 3:30 pm. Donations in her memory may be made to the Community Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador to be directed to projects in Musgrave Harbour.
