Edward William 'Billie' Livingstone, 77, of Dartmouth passed away on Nov. 5, 2013, at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Whycocomagh, he was a son of the late Mary Ellen (Buchanan) and Edward 'Eddie' Livingstone of Donkin, Cape Breton.
As a young man he ventured from Cape Breton to pursue his first career with the RCAF as an airframe technician. After retiring from the military, he worked for over 25 years at IMP Aerospace. He was known for his mechanical expertise and could fix just about anything.
An avid gardener, he had a passion for cooking, especially for a crowd. He will be remembered for his tea biscuits as well as his penchant for sharing stories of his life experiences.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Denise (Bergeron); daughters, Shirley (Troy) McLaughlin, Karen (Sasha Diakow) Livingstone; son, Michael (Shawna Marson); sister, Eleanor Thomas; brother John 'Jackie' (Kay); grandchildren, Jessica, Jalyn, Colby, Andrew and Charlotte; niece Lynette (John); nephews, John (Sherrie), Joe, and Chris (Amy) as well as his many nieces and nephews on his wife's side.
Billie was predeceased by his first son Brian.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at Atlantic Funeral Homes, 771 Main St., Dartmouth on Friday, Nov. 8 from 1-2 p.m. The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. in the funeral chapel, Rev. Pat Malin officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
