49, Guelph Ont. It is with great sadness that the family of Karen Elizabeth Kelly announces her unexpected passing on Monday, November 4th, 2013 in Guelph, ON, at the age of 49. Born in Montreal to Catherine “Kay” (O’Reilly) and the late Cyril Kelly. Missing her tremendously is her mother, her brothers: Robert, Montreal, Sean, his wife Stasia and daughter Clover, Belwood, and her sister Colleen, Dartmouth. As a graduate of the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Nursing, Karen’s nursing activities and interests took her to a great many places throughout Canada and the United States. She always chose the hardest of assignments and was noted as one to thoughtfully serve those in her care extremely well – she held a special place for her care of seniors. Karen loved to be with her family and worked continually to be as close as possible. Karen will be missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who she fondly remembered and spoke of at every opportunity. Visitation is scheduled for, Friday, November 8th, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 9th, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 9th, at 2:00 p.m.; Father Lloyd O’Neill officiating. Cremation is to follow with inurnment scheduled for a later date at the Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow at her sister’s home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation be made to the Nova Scotia Hospital (Dartmouth) or Elizabeth Place (Guelph).
