In Ottawa on Friday, September 26, 2008, of James Walter Walker of Georgetown Royalty, age 73 years. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Murphy-Publicover) and the late Janine (nee Comeau). Son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Walker of Georgetown. Loving father of Cathy (Michael) Hebbs, Nena Walker and Susan Soubhie (Claude Kateb). Grandfather of Chance, Ryan, Jamie, Darryl, Megan, Madison, Marla, Oscar and great-granddaughter, Ella. Also survived by his stepchildren, Hal (Vicki) Publicover, Kathy (Lloyd) King, Rick (Stephany) Publicover, Kelly Publicover-Therien and by stepgrandchildren, Alicia, Kayla, Mallory, Marcus, Nicholas, Jonathan and Morgan. Survived by brothers and sisters, Fred (Elaine) Walker, Ginny (Red) Cheverie, Mary Ann Walker, Vera Walker, Terry (Brenda) Walker, Theresa (Alan) Younker, Kaye (Dave) Haden, Ross (Nancy) Walker, Kevin (Marcia) Walker; and by his sister-in-law, Mary Walker. Predeceased by his sister, Emma; his brother, Sonny; and by his son-in-law, Marcel Therien. Resting at Ferguson's Montague Funeral Home until Thursday at 1:30 p.m., then to St. James Church, Georgetown, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment in the St. James Parish Cemetery.
