BAKER, RICHARD - The death of Richard Edward Baker of Cambridge Narrows occurred on Thursday, November 7th, 2013 at his home. Born in Bognor-Regis, West Sussex, United Kingdom, he was the son of Joy (Skietes) Baker and the late Sargent Major Edward Nelson Baker. Richard is predeceased by his loving wife Marrianne. He is survived by his mother Joy of Oshawa, ON; a son Richard Jr. Baker (Sherri) of Nauwigewauk, NB; daughters Katherine Baker-Ferguson (Robert) of Calgary, AB and Jennifer Baker (Roland) of Maple Ridge, BC; a sister Carol Baker of Oshawa, ON; a brother Don Baker (Diana) of Winona, ON; grandchildren Heather Mack, Mark Baker, Lisa Baker, Douglas Baker, Krista Baker and Alicia Baker; two great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law. Richard was a former weapons technician in the Royal Canadian Navy, having served on HMCS Terra-Nova, HMCS Annapolis and the second HMCS Athabaskan.
In keeping with Richard’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Donations made to the Canadian Lung Association in Richard’s memory, would be appreciated by the family. www.oromoctofh.com
